Hey Barcelona crew! πŸ”₯πŸŽ†

Sant Joan is back β€” the night Barcelona stops being a city and turns into one giant beach party. Bonfires, fireworks at midnight, and no one going home before sunrise. If you've never done it, you're about to find out why locals consider it the best night of the year β€” and there's no better way to live it than surrounded by an international crew from every corner of the world.

πŸŒ™πŸ”₯ THE BIG NIGHT β€” Tuesday, June 23rd

This is the one. We celebrate Sant Joan together at EL SARAU — Carrer de la Mercè 36, Barri Gòtic, two minutes from the beach.

  • πŸ₯ƒ Free welcome shot on arrival β€” we meet from 8PM
  • 🍰 Coca de Sant Joan β€” the iconic sweet of the night, the treat the whole city shares to celebrate the solstice
  • πŸŽ† Straight to the beach for the midnight fireworks and bonfires β€” the moment the whole coastline lights up
  • 🌍 International community vibe β€” people from dozens of countries, one beach, one night. This is where you actually meet Barcelona
  • πŸŽ‰ Free club entry to keep the night going till sunrise
  • πŸ’Ά FREE entry β€” you only pay your own food and drinks

Come solo or with friends β€” just ask for the BIS organizer when you arrive, and you'll instantly be part of the group.

First Sant Joan? Quick crash course

Sant Joan = the Catalan summer solstice festival. The shortest night of the year, except nobody sleeps. Bonfires symbolize burning the old to welcome the new, fireworks because Catalans love fire, and coca de Sant Joan with cava is the traditional sweet everyone shares. Imagine New Year's Eve, but on the beach, with better weather and an international crowd.

It falls on a Tuesday night β†’ Wednesday morning, and Wed June 24th is a public holiday β€” so yes, you can stay out till sunrise.

The lead-up β€” get warmed up first

Sant Joan is the climax, but the days before are already on fire:

Survival tips

  • Bring a light jacket β€” the beach gets chilly late, and you WILL be there
  • Eat properly before β€” the night is long
  • Wear comfortable shoes β€” there will be walking and dancing
  • Book your spot now β€” Sant Joan is the night everyone in Barcelona wants a plan for. Don't be the one looking for one at 22:00 on June 23rd

So... you in?

Register on our Sant Joan event page and let's make 2026 legendary.

See you at El Sarau πŸ”₯πŸŽ†

P.S. The fireworks start at midnight. Don't be the one stuck in a taxi πŸš–
