Sant Joan is back — the night Barcelona stops being a city and turns into one giant beach party. Bonfires, fireworks at midnight, and no one going home before sunrise. This is the one. We celebrate Sant Joan together at EL SARAU — Carrer de la Mercè 36, Barri Gòtic, two minutes from the beach.

First Sant Joan? Quick crash course
Sant Joan = the Catalan summer solstice festival. The shortest night of the year, except nobody sleeps. Bonfires symbolize burning the old to welcome the new, fireworks because Catalans love fire, and coca de Sant Joan with cava is the traditional sweet everyone shares. Imagine New Year's Eve, but on the beach, with better weather and an international crowd.
It falls on a Tuesday night → Wednesday morning, and Wed June 24th is a public holiday — so yes, you can stay out till sunrise.
The lead-up — get warmed up first
Sant Joan is the climax, but the days before are already on fire:
- Fri June 19 — The Biggest DJ Session Party 🎧 at Club Sauvage (20:00)
- Sat June 20 — International Breakfast Buffet 🍳 at Generator Hostel (11:00) · Sunset Boat Party 🚤 3h catamaran from Port Olímpic (check-in 17:15) → Mega Saturday at D9 Aribau (20:30)

Survival tips
- Bring a light jacket — the beach gets chilly late, and you WILL be there
- Eat properly before — the night is long
- Wear comfortable shoes — there will be walking and dancing
- Book your spot now — Sant Joan is the night everyone in Barcelona wants a plan for. Don't be the one looking for one at 22:00 on June 23rd
